MagmaChem Exploration Inc. is a U.S based international research and exploration company. Since the early - 1980's MagmaChem has funded, aggressively developed, and tested new field - oriented exploration technology that has contributed significantly to several recent gold and copper discoveries in North and South America. Integration of MagmaChem technology into the exploration process streamlines the search and increases discovery rates for companies by moving critical "get in or get out" exploration decisions to earlier, less expensive points in the evaluation process.
The Magma-Metal Series Classification is the framework from which the exploration technologies were developed. This Linnean-style classification is a systematic taxonomic approach and is based on logically-tiered empirical relationships between the mineralogy and chemistry of metal deposits and associated magmatism -- philosophically following the thinking of Bowen, Peacock, and Lindgren. Additionally, the classification provides a linkage between petrochemistry, resources and tectonics that has far-reaching, and forward-looking implications for mantle and earth models, environmental geochmistry, petroleum exploration, and investment banking.
Most recently, development of the Stepped Differentation Model for the mineral industry has documented the importance of laterally - dominated pluton crystallization and hydrothermal flow paths associated with transcurrent tectonics within hydrous magmatic arcs. The practical result is an exploration tool that vectors from unaltered igneous rocks miles from alteration to the ore-forming fluid release point of the system.
Over the past 16 years MagmaChem's clients
have included most of the major mining and oil and gas companies, the United States Geological Survey, state surveys, universities, and the U.S. Navy.
